Delivery of IMMUTALON™ is available to various countries worldwide, including the United States. Availability, delivery terms, and required documentafon are confirmed individually for each desfnafon.
IMMUTALON®: an innovative and effective approach to controlling chronic inflammation in dogs and cats.
Macrophage reprogramming (CLEC10A -> M2)
Clinical improvement and reduced need for NSAIDs/corticosteroids
Rapid return of activity and quality of life for the pet
*Without general immunosuppression; compatible with NSAIDs, corticosteroids, and antibiotics when the instructions are followed. With sustained improvement — stepwise tapering of NSAIDs and corticosteroids under veterinary supervision.
Proven efficacy of IMMUTALON®
IMMUTALON® provides a clinically significant reduction in pain in dogs with osteoarthritis within 4 weeks.*
65%
CLINICAL RESPONSE
*Clinical response at 4 weeks:
65% with dosing 3x/week (45% with 2x/week; placebo 15%);
pain reduction -2.1 points on a validated scale (placebo -0.5);
weight-bearing function improvement +7.1% of body weight (placebo +1.6%).
61% of cats achieve a clinical response* by day 28 (double-blind clinical trial**).
61%
CLINICAL RESPONSE
*Clinical response — a significant reduction in symptoms on a validated scale; difference vs. placebo -2.5 points by day 28. **FELINE-TRIAD-1: a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in cats with chronic enteropathy; responder rate 61% vs. 28% on placebo (assessed on day 28).
72% of cats do not require prednisolone* by day 28.
72%
PREDNISOLONE-FREE
*Per FELINE-TRIAD-1 data: the proportion of animals that did not require prednisolone during the first 28 days - 72% (vs. 39% on placebo); tolerability comparable to placebo.
FELINE-TRIAD-1 (cats, chronic enteropathy). A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with assessment on day 28.
Endpoints: change in symptoms on a validated scale, proportion of clinical responders, proportion of animals prednisolone-free, tolerability profile. Results: 61% responders (placebo 28%); 72% prednisolone-free (placebo 39%); tolerability comparable to placebo.
A 4-week course for full control of chronic inflammation (including autoimmune processes) in dogs and cats, without immunosuppression, with remission lasting more than a year.
IMMUTALON® — Indications
A precision-action immunobiological drug for controlling chronic inflammation in dogs and cats (shifts macrophages into a pro-resolution M2 state without general immunosuppression).
Immutalon (EF-M2) — subcutaneous injections administered by veterinarians to control symptoms and reduce steroid/NSAID burden in chronic immuno-inflammatory conditions.
Dogs - musculoskeletal and immuno-inflammatory conditions
Osteoarthritis*
Immune-mediated polyarthritis
Chronic bronchitis
Atopic dermatitis
Keratoconjunctivitis sicca ('dry eye')
Chronic pancreatitis/hepatitis**
Cats - gastrointestinal and other chronic inflammatory conditions
Chronic enteropathy*
Chronic pancreatitis**
Conditions of use and key parameters (for practitioners)
Regimen: subcutaneous, 2x/week, 4 weeks; dosing per the instructions. Do not change baseline therapy during the first 2 weeks. Assessments at week 2 and week 4.
Tapering concomitant therapy with sustained improvement:
first reduce NSAIDs by 50% and discontinue over 1-2 steps;
then reduce corticosteroids by 10-20% every 1-2 weeks down to the minimum dose (if relapse occurs, step back and stabilize).
*Confirmed by randomized double-blind trials: dogs — osteoarthritis; cats — chronic enteropathy (efficacy assessed at week 4 / day 28). **Real-world / case-series data: pancreatitis, hepatitis, bronchitis, atopic dermatitis, and others.
Role as an adjuvant / burden reduction
Added to standard therapy
With sustained improvement — stepwise reduction of NSAIDs/corticosteroids
In clinical trials, more than 72% were prednisolone-free by day 28
How IMMUTALON® resolves chronic inflammation without immunosuppression
EF-M2 — a glycoprotein bearing an M2-activating glycan code (also referenced on the source site by the legacy term 'GcMAF 2.0') — binds CLEC10A on macrophages/dendritic cells, switching them to a pro-resolution M2 profile.
Day 1:
↑ ARGI/INOS, ↑ IL-10, TNF-а; in some cases, attenuation of the B-cell axis (BAFF, Tfh, plasmablasts)
Weeks 2-8:
Comparison in osteoarthritis by day 28
65%
of dogs with a clinically significant reduction in pain (placebo 15%)
Immutalon
43,5%
success per owner assessment (placebo 16.9%) (PubMed data)
Other treatments
Clinician takeaway: over an equal 4-week horizon, efficacy is markedly higher with Immutalon; moreover, there are no restrictions from long-term NSAID use and no need for a monthly visit for infusion/injection.
Owners and veterinarians note: IMMUTALON® helps restore activity and quality of life.
Patient: Labrador, 9 years old, osteoarthritis, 2 years of lameness; daily NSAIDs, GI issues. On Immutalon (2x/week, 4 weeks), NSAIDs were fully discontinued by week 3. Labs: C-reactive protein 28 -> 7 mg/L; fibrinogen 5.0 -> 3.3 g/L. After 4 weeks, the dog walks 30-40 minutes without stopping, without NSAIDs; systemic inflammation decreased.
Patient: Sam, Russian Spaniel, born 21.12.2011, 14 years old.
Decreased physical activity, runs less, sleeps more
Difficulty jumping onto and off the couch
Tenderness in the elbow joints on palpation
On Immutalon (2x/week, 4 weeks): first course August 2025, second course January 2026. After the first course: increased physical activity - the dog runs, plays fetch, asks to go outside; no pain observed.
How understanding the body's natural mechanisms for resolving inflammation led to IMMUTALON®.
Immutalon® was developed as EF-M2 (GcMAF 2.0) - an analytically defined glycoprotein molecule with a terminal alpha-GalNAc, which specifically engages CLEC10A and shifts macrophages into a pro-resolution M2 state, without suppressing baseline antimicrobial defense.
